How to install PT Peoplebook and application Peoplebook on one server, PeopleSoft did not give out a clear Documentation to descript it.
Here is a reference, if you run PT 8.44 or PT 8.45 environment, and how to install HRMS application's PeopleBook on your web server.
Environment:
PeopleTools version: PeopleTools 8.44
Web Server: WobLogic 8.1
Scenario:
Both Peoplesoft PeopleTools Peoplebooks and Peoplesoft HRMS 8.8 with SP1 PeopleBooks needed to be install on the same web server of PIA.
Installation:
Install PT844 PeopleBooks:
1. When you install WebLogic 8.1, the “root” directory will be "C:BEA" (not "C:BEAWEBLOGIC81").
2. Install PeopleTools Peoplebooks under the directory: "C:PT844webservpeoplesoftapplicationspeoplesoftPSOLhtmldoc"
3. When ask if you want to build collections – check “Build for entire site”
4. Installation will take about 30 min.
5. After installation completes, check the following site, and searching feature.
http://(hostname)/PSOL/htmldoc/eng/index.htm
Install HRMS8.8 SP1 PeopleBooks:
1. Install PeopleTools Peoplebooks under the directory: "C:PT844webservpeoplesoftapplicationspeoplesoftPSOLhrms"
2. Please notice that the license code of HRMS PeopleBooks is HRMS license group license code.
3. backup two files to a temp directory:
"c:PT844webservpeoplesoftapplicationspeoplesoftPSOLhrmsengpsbooksjsbooklist.js"
"C:PT844webservpeoplesoftapplicationspeoplesoftPSOLhrmsengpsbooksjshelplist.js"
4. Install PeopleTools 8.44 Peoplebooks into HRMS peoplebooks directory:(remember key-in PEOPLETOOLS LICENCE CODE)
"C:PT844webservpeoplesoftapplicationspeoplesoftPSOLhrms"
5. When ask if you want to build collections – check “Build for entire site”
6. When prompt with a list of all peopletools peoplebooks, mark all books “off”
7. Installation will take about 30 min.
8. After installation completes, check the following site, and searching feature.
http://(hostname)/PSOL/hrms/eng/index.htm
9. If the list of books looks incorrect from the main page, restore those two files backed up before you install PT PeopleBooks.
